For those of us where summer has given way to fall and then the slow descent into winter, it’s getting time to take the ride inside onto a trainer or an Indoor Cycling class.
As a certified Spinning Instructor I was always partial to a strength ride. I have to admit there is something about the though of challenging yourself up a climb that just makes my heart race, and that’s before hitting the start of the upward slope!
I took this one idea and turned it into two separate rides, and here is the first version that focuses on using surges of speed up that hill to get your legs used to working at a higher cadence than you think is your normal one for climbing.
